The job arrives as a text before the call ends.
Not a voicemail notification and not an email digest. A text with the name, the number, what they need, where they are, and whether it's urgent — while you still have time to do something about it.
How it works
What actually happens
01
Texts carry the details, not a notification
Name, callback number, the problem, the address, and an urgency flag — formatted short enough to read at a glance on a lock screen. An emergency is marked as one at the top.
02
It can book the slot itself
For routine work the agent offers a window, confirms it back to the caller, and records the booking against your call log so you see it alongside everything else.
03
Live transfer for the calls that need you
When something genuinely needs a person, the agent can bridge the caller straight to your phone rather than taking details. If you don't pick up, it falls back to texting you the lead instead of dropping it.
04
A failed text never fails the call
If the SMS can't send, the caller still gets a competent close and the job is still captured in your log. The failure is logged for you, not performed at your customer.
In practice
What it looks like on a call
- SMS to owner — EMERGENCY · Dana Whitfield · 602-555-0142 · Car lockout, Safeway Bell Rd · 2019 Civic
AlwaysGreet
Dana, that's gone straight to the on-call tech. He'll ring you within five minutes.
One text, everything needed to decide whether to roll — and nothing else.
Being straight with you
What this doesn't do
Every limit below is one you'd otherwise discover after paying.
No calendar integration yet
Booking confirms a window to the caller and records it in your call log, but it does not yet write into Google Calendar, Jobber, Housecall Pro, or similar. If a synced calendar is a hard requirement, this isn't ready for you.
Transfer needs somewhere to transfer to
Live transfer bridges to the owner number on your profile. If that's unset or unanswered, it sends the lead as a text instead — which is the right fallback, but it is a fallback.

Questions
The things owners actually ask
Can more than one person get the text?
The MVP texts a single owner number. Multiple recipients and on-call rotation aren't built yet.
What if I'm driving and miss the text?
It stays in your call log with everything the caller said, so nothing depends on you seeing the notification in the moment. The text is for speed, the log is the record.
Will it sound like a robot?
No — it's a natural voice that interrupts and responds like a person, not a phone tree. But judge that yourself rather than taking our word: run the demo and listen to a real call before paying anything.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. Your number stays exactly as it is on your listings, your signage, and your website. You forward calls to AlwaysGreet — either everything you don't pick up, or only outside opening hours. Turning it off puts everything back as it was.
Can it answer only after hours?
Yes, and most businesses start there. Turn on after-hours-only and the AI stays silent while you're open — you take those calls yourself. It picks up nights, weekends, and holidays.
What stops spam calls burning through my minutes?
A per-caller hourly limit, automatic flagging of repeat short-call bursts, and a daily spend cap that pauses the line if something goes wrong. These run before a call is answered, so a robodialer can't run up your bill.
